We've had and used these four days now, and pretty pleased. We tried the stick on paw pads previously, and although we didn't mind replacing them every couple days, we never knew when one dropped off until our dog had trouble. So... Trying these. Our dog is a good sized, male german shepherd. We got him size 6 and they are fine, but we are only using on hind feet because of his aging hips.He did the high step for about an hour the first time he wore, but completely unfazed by them now.The upper portion is stretchy, but the lower portion is plastics/rubber coated so does not slip. They are large enough that his paw can spread. It's easiest to put them on while he's standing. The socks come with optional velcro type straps. They seemed to help to keep the socks up a bit, but it's less trouble without them. We did find it helped to put part of the loop section so that it caught the knit of the sock. We've been removing the socks when he goes outside... We are on an acre and didn't want to have to search around if the sock came off outside. We did send him out a couple times with them, and his feet themselves stayed dry in damp grass, and the moisture was easily wiped from sock. Inside they work fine, keeping him from slipping on our vinyl flooring, mostly when he tries to stand back up. They slip down a little, but stay on his feet. We pull them back up once in a while... Not too unlike when our kids were toddlers. All in all, they do the job for non-slip. I feel like he's actually getting up better... Not just because of slipping itself, but the slipping seems to aggravate the pain. He seems to be walking with less pain. These work okay but they are shorter than they appear on Amazon. It's tough to keep the Velcro strap attached to the boots. We are just using them on the back feet to keep our lab/boarder collie mix from scratching her front legs due to her having broken open calluses. She is almost 13 years old and doesn't really mind having these on her back feet. However, they tend to slip down and we have to constantly pull them up and reattach the Velcro straps.Need these to cover a splint on my dogs foot. Sliced it up the front and taped it to the splint so the interior bandage would not get wet. I’m not so sure they would stay on a dog’s foot without a caste or splint long term.Nice boots but won't stay on my Corgi even with the velcro straps. Those stump legs make it difficult.I bought these for my dog when we had that artic front in Michigan earlier this year. They were easy to put on but they froze to the snow as soon as he went outside and came right off. In a different circumstance they would probably be great but not super cold temperaturesGreat product i just have to big of a dog to fit ..203 pound mastiff. I returned and it said no need to send back so I will donate to a shelter..thank youThey didnt stay on his feet very well also it came without two of the strapsKeep dog from chewing feetOverall, great material (my dog bit at it for some time and not a single rip... her teeth are razor sharp) and serves its purpose. However, they could definitely be snugger. My dog's feet barely fit in through the hole but once they are in, they can slip out easily. They do provide velcro straps to help hold them in place but they are separate from the shoes themselves and can get lost easily as opposed to being 'built-in' onto each shoe at the ankle portion. Also, the bend between the dog's paw part and the leg is not angulated enough making it easier for my dog to pull it off as it is straight. These are the best dog docks I've tried as of yet. they have good grip and the velcro strap keeps them on. A bit hard to get on at first though but they need to fit tight. The biggest size fits my 90 pound rottwieler. This product doesn’t work for my puppy, difficult to put on and when I did it they get off easily.Sizes are a joke would not fit a cat
