Beautiful, simple, and well made casket. Perfect way to send off our dog Daphne, who has been with us since we married and before we had kids. No plastic parts, so perfect for a burial on our backyard.Beautiful coffin! Smooth finish, beautiful golden color, and spacious. My mother really appreciated the craftsmanship.I bought this pet coffin so as to have it on hand in case our beloved family dog, and American Cocker Spaniel, who was very old and became very ill, due to suffering from congestive heart failure, died in her sleep. My daughters viewed her as a sister, since she was a part of our family since my daughters were little girls, both of whom are now adults, living at home with me while attending college. I ended up not using the pet coffin, since we ended up having to have our beloved dog euthanized, so as to end her suffering, and then cremated. However, I kept the pet coffin, because it is beautifully constructed and finished. It is easily of furniture grade quality in terms of its construction and finish. The person who constructed this so-called pet coffin is a true artist and craftsman. I am not sure at this time what I am ultimately going to do with this beautiful oak box (pet coffin) , but it was just too beautiful to return, especially at such a reasonable price for such quality craftsmanship. I may turn it into a keepsake chest. Anyway, I highly recommend this product. Such quality construction is hard to find in America anymore. I doubt very seriously that you will be disappointed if you purchase one to bury your beloved pet.I had to pay for the return of the product. I’m out a bunch of money for shipping. The delivery was slow and it didn’t look like the photo.Putting you pet down is difficult for the entire family. I resisted ordering any casket because I was in denial, but the pragmatic part of me ordered this coffin and slipped it into the garage. When the day eventually came, my family was greatly soothed by the respect we accorded our dog Dolly. A great part of that comfort was this pet casket. It was very very solid, nicely finished and well worth the price. My thanks to Pinnacle Woodcraft for providing this great product. Plan Ahead and pre-drill the lid so it can be securely closed. The space was enough for my pet and a lot of his belongingsI ordered the smaller version for Rosie, my sweet baby girl, and it had better handles: sturdy wood pieces in place of the basically ornamental cabinet handles shown on this casket. Much better with the wooden handles. When my next 2 pups died, this is what I ordered for them -- the larger one, so they could be buried together. Still too sad to think about whether I like the casket or not, sorry.Wonderful craftsmanship. The one issue was that I would have liked changed - - the lid needs to have a bit more coverage of the box edge to allow enough edge to screw lid to box securely
